About Kathy Mattes
I love colors. I love glass. I love natural gemstones and pearls. So, making beaded jewelry is a perfect expression of what makes me feel good every day.
My inspirations come from colors that move me. My favorite colors are earthy colors. I work a lot with copper, brown, gray, blue and green, and I love purple! And I will not ignore reds or even pinks, if they have an earthy tone.
Unique, Wearable Art
My focus is on bringing these colors together into a unique piece of wearable art that has a sophisticated look. This probably comes from a combination of my love of the country and many years working in downtown San Francisco.
