I recently completed a series of  natural gemstone necklaces using similar designs. The stones were placed into a bail made by artist Kim Fox and a 3-bead beaded necklace was added using colors that compliment the stone.
 
This necklace features a beautiful amethyst oval stone, purchased at the Gem show in Tucson earlier this year.  The necklace was beaded using black size 11 seed beads, with the occasional purple bead spread around to bring out the beautiful color of the stone.
 
The necklace measures 18 in length and is closed with a bronze clapp made by Kim Fox Designs
