This is one of two matte round jasper cabechons that I found at the Tucson Gem Show this year. Not only is the stone beautiful, but it has a matte finish, which I love and is becoming more popular.
The 1.5" round stone has a desert landscape design, with the green of cactus the beige and brown of the desert floor and orange of a setting sun.
 
The 17-1/2" beaded rope brings out all of the colors of the stone, with irridescent green super duo beads, some matte tan beads and green and brown seed beads. The bail for the stone incorporates the same beads. The lovely hook clasp is a bronze design by Kim Fox.
